Celebrate Women’s Equality Day

We invite you to join the Southwest Women’s Law Center and other women around the state as we celebrate Women’s Equality Day in commemoration of the 96th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment, the Constitutional guarantee that gave women the right to vote.

We will be on Civic Plaza in Albuquerque on Friday, August 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Our goal is to have women from all 33 counties in the State of New Mexico join us in this celebration in person, or virtually, on a Jumbo Tron via Twitter, Facebook or Skype.

We will have certified voter registration agents available to help ensure that every woman who is eligible to vote get registered so she may cast her ballot in the November general election.

We are very excited about celebrating this inspiring day with women across New Mexico. To help make this event a success,we are asking organizations to consider being a proud co-host of the day, and help defray some of the costs associated with the celebration. The various levels to help as a co-host are outlined below.

Whether or not you become a co-host, please plan on joining us on Civic Plaza on Friday, August 26 from 11:a.m to 1:00 p.m. as we celebrate Women’s Equality Day.
